And we’re back for 2025. In this episode, we catch up on our fortresses and chat about our resolutions for our fortresses!
What you encountered were the newly introduced mysterious dungeons/lairs/palaces, which generate sphere-based creatures, such as your “crystal tigers” and other entities. These dungeons are also guarded by cultists who defend “Primordial Remnants,” which come in various forms but all share a the spheres of a certain god.
And yes, we do have magic—there are even magical items with unique powers. However, magic isn’t integrated much into the broader history or lore of the world just yet.
Additionally, not everything was dead—rather, the “Chosen” are limited to civilizations that have temples, which are typically human civilizations. This is why you were only able to select “Human” when choosing a Chosen .
For example, you’ll get names for the Primordial Remnants, the creatures, the cultists, and the guardians, all of which share a common religious sphere.
(Sphere referring to whatever the involved god was of.)
Oh and also, all the dungeon people (culstists,guardians etc) have buffs.
